Well as the title says, I was rejected twice. The second within 48 hours of the first. So that was fun. But I'm going to keep sending out the one story (In Silence) and the other was the first story of the Magician and the Knight, which means I'm going to continue with my original goal of writing a lot of the MaK stories so that I can one day compile a coherent book of all the stories. The second rejection was worse, because that was for the writing workshop I was so excited about in February/March. The good thing that comes from being rejected from the workshop means I can set aside more money for (eventually) going to San Francisco for NaNoWriMo's Night of Writing Dangerously! Besides, as I keep reminding myself, if I want to be a writer for a living I know will be rejected far more times than I will be accepted.

I'm still working on the Writing Challenge 2014, the April version is probably about half done. (I'm going to try and do better so that I don't have to do another March and cut it off mid-scene)

I've also been asked to write a full-spread article on studying abroad for my college's newspaper! It's due a week from tomorrow, so I really need to buckle down and work on that. BUT IT MEANS I'M GOING TO BE PUBLISHED FOR THE FIRST TIME!

On a personal note: Studying abroad in Italy has so far been one of the best things I've ever done! (Not to mention being in Italy for rejections means I get to eat incredible gelato/chocolate to make up for it.) It's really made me wonder what it would be like to actually move to Italy after college. But I still have to go to San Francisco before I decide I want to leave the country rather than just cross it to the other side.

Lastly, Happy Easter to anyone who celebrates! Or rather: Buona Pasqua!
